Welsh Water to invest £1bn after announcing £7m pre-tax profits

Welsh Water has announced pre-tax profits of £7m for the last financial year.

The firm also said £1bn would be invested over the next three years in infrastructure projects in Wales and Herefordshire.

The work includes upgrades to water and wastewater treatment plants in Powys, Gwynedd, Ceredigion and Wrexham.

Welsh Water's finance director Chris Jones spoke to Oliver Hides on BBC Radio Wales' Good Morning Wales.
