Scout chief Bear Grylls flies around Wales

The chief scout in the UK, Bear Grylls, is to visit nine different places in Wales as part of a bid to encourage more adults to volunteer as scout leaders.

His helicopter tour is part of a weekend of scouting events throughout the country.

And he is due to visit Swansea and Snowdonia on Saturday and Powys, Carmarthesnhire and Cardiff on Sunday.

There are currently around 16,000 scouts in Wales but more leaders are needed.

Richard Edwards, the Scout Association area commissioner for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, his daughter Lydia Edwards and Joe Holmes, who are both explorer scouts, spoke to Peter Johnson on BBC Radio Wales.
