Welsh place names see growing interest

Have you ever wondered where your city, town or village got its name?

Or whether the name can tell you anything about its history?

The interest in place names and their past has led to a national body being set up to research, uncover and protect the names of our villages, rivers, lakes, farms and fields.

This group, called the Welsh Place-name Society, has just held its second conference in Cardiff.

Richard Morgan, one of its members, spoke to Bethan Rhys Roberts on BBC Radio Wales.
