Passengers unhappy with rail fares rise

Rail passengers say they are not getting value for money on the day fares for thousands of travellers rises an average of 4%.

Overall, ticket prices have gone up by 3.9% in England, Wales and Scotland, but rises vary between train operators.

The Campaign for Better Transport (CBT) branded the increases "truly shocking".
