Horsemeat scandal: Welsh farmers' 'great shock'

Production at a meat processing plant near Aberystwyth has been suspended by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) as part of an investigation into alleged horsemeat mislabelling.

Horse carcasses sent to Farmbox Meats Ltd, of Llandre near Aberystwyth, were alleged to have been sold on as beef for kebabs and burgers.

Gilbert John asked Geraint James, general manager at Dai Lewis Auctioneers, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire, how the horsemeat scandal, which began last month, is having an impact on the farming industry.
