Mixed reaction to M4 relief road speculation

Nick Payne, regional director of the Road Haulage Association, welcomes newspaper speculation that the UK government is planning to back a relief road to relieve pressure on the M4 around Newport.

But he is concerned at reports that tolls will be charged for its use.

Meanwhile Matt Hemsley from the transport charity Sustrans Cymru believes any economic benefits may be overstated.
