Welsh Guards take on £1m Walk on Wales challenge

Welsh Guards past and present are planning to walk round the nation's entire coastline to raise £1m for former soldiers who have been psychologically damaged while on service.

The charity Walk on Wales has been set up by a group of former soldiers and rugby players who served in the Falklands with the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.

Many of those taking part in the walk played in the victorious Welsh Guards team which won the 1982 Army Rugby Cup shortly before they were sent to the Falklands.

Wales' Six Nations captain Ryan Jones is helping them get fighting fit for the fundraising walk.

Ashleigh Crowter reports.
