Welsh Varsity: Cardiff and Swansea students compete in games
Thousands of students have attend the annual Welsh Varsity games between Cardiff and Swansea Universities, culminating in a rugby match at the Millennium Stadium.
The Welsh Ambulance Service put in place extra services and a mobile treatment centre in Cardiff to look after revellers at Wednesday's games.
An alcohol treatment centre at Ebenezer Chapel, Charles Street, was also open for the first time.
Stephen Fairclough of BBC Radio Wales spent the day with students.
