NHS 111 helpline for Wales prompts concern

Plans to bring in a new NHS helpline for urgent but non-emergency care will go ahead in Wales, despite problems with the service in England.

The 111 line would replace the current NHS Direct service and it is hoped pressure will be eased on hospital emergency departments.

But some doctors' leaders have raised concerns.
