Hundreds of new Gypsy pitches needed in Wales

Hundreds of new pitches are needed for Gypsies and travellers in Wales if a new housing bill is passed in the assembly this autumn.

Figures obtained for BBC Wales' Week In Week Out, on BBC One Wales at 22:35 BST on Tuesday show that around 400 new pitches are needed - enough for around 1,200 caravans.

In Swansea and Newport there has been strong opposition to plans for new sites which the traveller community says is unfair. Tim Rogers reports.
