Wales Audit Office finds NHS ops postponed to cut costs

A new report says the NHS struggled to cut costs in the last financial year.

The Wales Audit Office says health boards face "an extremely difficult task" trying to save more money this year.

The reports said scheduled operations were postponed and hospital waiting lists allowed to grow as the Welsh NHS struggled to cut costs.

Health Minister Mark Drakeford said the NHS "remains resilient" despite challenging circumstances.
