Wales reservoir deaths prompt swim safety warning

In the warm weather it is tempting to cool off in water wherever the opportunity presents itself.

But following the deaths of two men in neighbouring reservoirs in the Brecon Beacons at the weekend, members of the public are being urged not to swim in unsupervised waters.

A 52-year-old man died at the Pontsticill Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons on Saturday after going for a swim while a 24-year-old man died at the nearby Cantref Reservoir on Sunday.

Mike Dunn from the Royal Life Saving Society explained the risks of swimming in reservoirs to the BBC's Hywel Griffith.
