Royal Welsh Show chairman wants more Welsh government clarity

As the Royal Welsh show opens in Llanelwedd, the changes to the European Union's CAP subsidies - money for farmers as part of the Common Agricultural Policy - is seen as one of the main issues for the Welsh government.

Farm incomes are expected to be cut by at least 10% by January 2015, and decisions will be made this year about how Wales' share of the payments will be shared.

The new chairman of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, John Davies, has asked the government for more clarity in some of its policies.

He was interviewed by BBC Wales environment correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd.
