Fire crews tackle flooding at Aberavon homes

Firefighters are trying to stop flood waters from getting into homes in Aberavon in Neath Port Talbot.

Ten properties are at risk from the water, which has come after torrential downpours in the area.

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) issued several flood alerts for rivers as forecasters warned downpours could affect large parts of the country.

The Met Office issued a yellow "be aware" severe weather warning about the possibility of localised flooding.

Station Manager Mark Davies said the drainage system surrounding the properties in Aberavon was full, which had caused the flooding.
