Max Boyce's 70th birthday and Treorchy Live anniversary

Entertainer Max Boyce will celebrate his 70th birthday on Friday, 27 September.

It is also the 40th anniversary of his celebrated Live at Treorchy album.

To mark the milestones, Radio Wales will be broadcasting a series of special programmes.

From 13:00 BST on Wednesday, Louise Elliot will be live at Treorchy Rugby Club.

Carolyn Hitt has recorded an Arts Show special to be broadcast at 18:30 BST on Wednesday looking back at his life and the Treorchy recording.
