April Jones funeral: Mourners' donations help Ugandan girl

Donations from mourners at the funeral of murdered five-year-old April Jones will be used to sponsor a child in Uganda.

April's funeral will take place in the Powys town of Machynlleth on Thursday.

The Ugandan girl, who is also five, will be helped until she completes her education.

The Reverend Kathleen Rogers, who is taking Thursday's service, told BBC Wales reporter Craig Duggan about the sponsorship project.

The vicar is expecting many people to attend the funeral at St Peter's Church and says it is important that April's family have a chance to say goodbye properly.
