Swansea's Palace Theatre 'on verge of collapse,' trust says
Swansea's Palace Theatre is on the verge of collapse, claims the Theatres Trust, the advisory body that safeguards theatres right across the UK.
Built in 1888, Swansea's Palace Theatre was once the place to be seen, with up to 900 theatre-goers a night.
Now weeds grow from the roof and the brickwork is crumbling.
Swansea council says it is doing all it can to save the building but says it simply does not have the money to restore it.
