Carwyn Jones: 'Not yet' for referendum over income tax
First Minister Carwyn Jones says he has no plans yet for a referendum over income tax controls after a decision to offer the Welsh government more powers.
Speaking in Cardiff Bay, David Cameron and deputy PM Nick Clegg announced on Friday new financial powers for the devolved administration.
They include control of the stamp duty paid by house buyers and powers to finance upgrades on the M4.
Mr Jones said he did not expect the Welsh government to have the new powers until 2015.
When it came to borrowing powers, he said the M4 relief road around Newport had been indentified as one possibility but he said the Welsh government was looking at the A55 in north Wales as well.
