Flintshire air crash: Focus on plane likely, expert says

An air aviation expert says an investigation into how two people died in a crash in Flintshire will focus on the plane.

A team from the Air Accident Investigation Branch has spent a second day at Hawarden Airport where the twin engine aircraft came down on Friday.

The man thought to be the pilot, named locally as Gary Vickers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman passenger died later at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Aviation consultant Chris Yates said he understood the pilot was very skilled, so mechanical causes might be to blame.
