Social health care shake-up call by ombudsman

The way health and social care is delivered outside hospital must be radically transformed, says a watchdog.

Public Services Ombudsman Peter Tyndall is calling on the Health Minister Mark Drakeford to review home care services.

Mr Tyndall says the current system is too complex and he wants the services to be managed by a single body.

The Welsh government says it intends to fully integrate health and social services but says the solution does not lie in structural change.
