Poor exam results show 'change is necessary,' Pisa chief says

Wales' poor performance in international education rankings has made people aware that "change is necessary," according to the deputy director of the tables.

The results three years ago of the so-called Pisa tables saw Wales tumble down the rankings.

The latest results are due out on Tuesday.

Pisa deputy director Andreas Schleicher said he was encouraged at the way people in the Wales' education system had taken notice of the previous results.
