Mixed reaction in Wales to spending on renewable energy

A new nuclear power reactor on Anglesey by Japanese firm Hitachi is among the projects listed in a 20-year infrastructure spending plan published by the UK government.

However, there are mixed reactions to how much financial support is going to renewable energy.

Subsidies to inland windfarms and solar parks are to be cut.

One windfarm company in Wales said the decision undermines confidence in the industry.
