Autumn Statement: People still 'struggling' with cost of living

The chancellor will announce later the date when people must be 68 to draw a state pension - formerly scheduled for 2046 - will be brought forward to the mid-2030s,

George Osborne will confirm the plans in his Autumn Statement on Thursday.

The alteration is said to be deemed necessary as life expectancy is rising.
