A&E shortages show need for NHS reconfiguration needed - minister

"We spread the jam too thin" when trying to provide NHS care, Welsh Health Minister Mark Drakeford has said.

He was speaking after figures showed 15% of the medical positions are either vacant or being filled by temporary staff in accident and emergency departments in Wales.

The minister says a reconfiguration of the health service is needed to manage resources better.
