Campaign to protect place names across Wales
A campaign has been launched to preserve ancient names after concerns across Wales owners are giving their properties new identities.
Prof Hywel Wyn Owen, who recently retired from the Centre for Place Name Studies at Bangor University, says they connect an area with its history.
He is also a member of the Welsh Place Names Society, which has played a significant role in lending support to the campaign.
