Plans to sell Murco oil refinery were a 'challenge'

The future of the Murco oil refinery in Pembrokeshire has been thrown into doubt once more following the sudden collapse of talks to sell the site to a new owner.

The refinery in Milford Haven employs more than 400 people, many of them highly skilled, and in the four years the site had been on the market this was the closest it had come to being sold.

Oil industry analyst Keith Guppy told BBC Radio Wales that plans to sell the site had always been a challenge.
