Snowdon death 'tragic', says mountain rescuer
A 21-year-old man has fallen to his death on Snowdon, say North Wales Police.
Mountain rescue team members and a helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey were scrambled to the scene on Friday.
It is understood the man and his friend tried to turn back after taking a wrong turn, when he fell hundreds of feet. Walkers heard the cries for help and alerted rescuers.
John Grisdale, chairman of Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team which took part in the rescue, said the death was "tragic".
