Dylan Thomas NYC drinking haunt's the Minetta Tavern

Dylan Thomas's relationship with alcohol may be as well known as his work, taking on a mythic status since his untimely death in New York in 1953.

It is perhaps no surprise then he was at his most comfortable in the bars of the city's bohemian Greenwich Village.

He spent many evenings, and often daytimes too, socialising at the Minetta Tavern.
