'Touch and go' if Under Milk Wood would be finished

The world premiere of Dylan Thomas's most famous work Under Milk Wood was performed at New York's 92nd Street Y, external auditorium.

But it was "touch and go" whether it would be finished on time for its debut reading.

Bernard Schwartz, director of the theatre's poetry centre, talks about the frantic scenes in the run up to the performance.
