Grant 'lifeline' for disabled children in Wales
The mother of an autistic teenager says a charity that gives grants to pay for household appliances has been a 'lifeline".
Bernadette Horton, from Prestatyn, Denbighshire, said the Family Fund had helped her buy a washing machine and tumble dryer when her son Luca, now 15, was diagnosed as autistic at the age of three.
She added that more recently the charity had helped pay for Luca to go to drama school.
The Family Fund has said it is having to put more than 550 grant applications on hold as the Welsh government has yet to make a decision on funding for 2014/15.
