Mark Drakeford's apology for poor OAP hospital care

Health Minister Mark Drakeford has apologised to families whose elderly relatives received poor standards of care at two south Wales hospitals.

He said he was shocked by the outcome of a review into elderly care at the Princess of Wales and Neath Port Talbot hospitals, prompted by the neglect of Lilian Williams, 82.

Mr Drakeford has now ordered a further review, to include unannounced spot checks at hospitals across Wales.
