Prof Andrew Davies 'ashamed' over hospital care failings
The chairman of a health board at the centre of a storm about how the NHS cares for elderly people said he was ashamed when he read a report highlighting serious failings at two hospitals.
Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board chairman Prof Andrew Davies apologised unreservedly for "any poor care that we provided in recent years".
The report, Trusted To Care, was ordered after the neglect of Lilian Williams, 82, treated at Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot hospitals.
Prof Davies was interviewed by BBC Wales Today presenter Jamie Owen.
