Singer Cerys Matthews thought MBE letter was tax bill

Singer Cerys Matthews admits she thought a letter advising her she had been awarded an MBE was a tax bill.

The BBC 6 Music presenter said the letter got lost but when it did turn up it was a "nice surprise".

Ms Matthews was among dozens of people from Wales to be have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

They include Wales rugby coach Warren Gatland and actor John Barrowman, best known for the BBC Wales sci-fi drama Torchwood.
