As the centenary of the start of World War One draws nearer, BBC Wales is looking at how key roles in the modern British Army had their roots in the conflict.

Robert Mansel, from Skewen, Neath, is Regimental Sergeant Major for 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards and has explored how pilots and planes helped win the war.
