WW1 cartoonist work goes online

The wartime drawings of one of the most popular cartoonists of the early 20th Century have been brought together, restored and put online for the first time.

JM Staniforth created thousands of newspaper illustrations from his studio in Cardiff, using pen and ink to satirise social conditions in Wales.

He became a household name for his morale boosting cartoons during the World War One.

Carwyn Jones has had first glimpse of the collection.
