WW1: Permanent Flanders honour to Welsh dead

Soldiers, airmen and sailors who died in World War One will finally have a lasting monument in their honour in Belgium.

The dragon has been built in the village of Langemark as part of the 100th anniversary since the outbreak of WW1.

It comes after years of campaigning by those who wanted to see a permanent dedication to the fallen.

It is estimated 40,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen from Wales died during 1914-1918.
