Head warns GCSE standards in Wales must not slip

As tens of thousands of pupils collect their GCSE results, a head teacher in Wales said it is important standards remained high in the changing exam landscape.

On Thursday, results showed pupils in Wales have closed the gap with other parts of the UK.

There had also been an increase in the percentage of students receiving A* to C grades.

Mike Gibbon, head of Glan Afan Comprehensive School in Port Talbot spoke to BBC Wales correspondent Hywel Griffith.
