President Barack Obama visits Newport school

US President Barack Obama has visited a Newport primary school on the first of his two-day trip to Wales for the Nato summit.

Mr Obama, accompanied by Prime Minister David Cameron, was meeting pupils at the school, ahead of the meeting of 150 heads of state and ministers at the Celtic Manor.

He is the first serving US president to visit Wales.

A cavalcade of more than 20 cars arrived just after 09:35 BST.
