Hospitals 'not helping' deaf people, campaigners claim
People with hearing loss in Wales are at risk when they use the NHS because they cannot hear announcements, according to charity campaigners.
An audit by community health councils found nearly half of the hospital facilities visited were "unsatisfactory" for people who are deaf or partially deaf.
Richard Williams, director of Action on Hearing Loss Cymru, said in some cases technology such as hearing loops was in place but was not being used properly.
