Welsh Tory leader urges Scottish voters to back UK

Welsh Conservative leader Andrew RT Davies has urged the people of Scotland to support the United Kingdom as "a positive example of social, economic and national union".

The main pro-union parties have promised further devolution for Scotland if voters reject independence in the referendum on 18 September.

Recent opinion polls suggest the "yes" camp has closed the gap during the campaign, with the two sides now neck-and-neck.

Mr Davies told Felicity Evans of BBC Radio Wales that the people of Scotland could have the best of both worlds by running more of their own affairs while staying in the UK.
