Welsh MPs' power over English laws 'wrong and divisive'

Welsh and Scottish MPs should not be allowed to vote on matters relating only to England in the House of Commons, a Conservative MP has said.

The main parties have promised to examine the pattern of devolution across the UK following the vote in Scotland to reject independence.

Prime Minister David Cameron has proposed "English votes for English laws" as a condition of more powers for Scotland.

Monmouth MP David Davies said the ability of Welsh and Scottish MPs to vote on policies only relating to England was "wrong and divisive".
