Llanbedr flood wall breach repair 'leaking'

Farmers in Gwynedd whose land and livestock were damaged by last winter's storms say they are concerned water is leaking through newly-repaired sea defences.

Natural Resources Wales filled a 50 metre (160ft) breach in the wall at Llanbedr with rocks and giant sand bags after it was washed away in the storms in early January.

The breach meant homes and farmland were flooded daily as the tide swept in.

It is claimed that sea water is coming through onto farmland again.

Natural Resources Wales says its aware of the pool of water collecting but does not expect it to increase the risk of flooding.
