Ebola crisis: Cardiff doctor says more help is needed

A Cardiff-based doctor who has returned to Africa to help in the fight against the spread of Ebola has said more laboratory facilities are needed.

Nathalie MacDermott has been volunteering with the charity Samaritan's Purse, which will open its first community care centre this week.

It will aim to help prevent the spread of the disease and treat patients.

Nigeria has been declared officially clear of Ebola by the World Health Organisation but the epidemic remains out of control in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.

Ms MacDermott spoke to BBC Radio Wales.
