Plaid Cymru's Leanne Wood's call for a new politics

Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood has told the party's conference she wants to build a "new politics" which works for Wales.

She told delegates in Llangollen that the party could hold the balance of power with Scottish nationalists and the Greens after the May 2015 general election.

Ms Wood said she aimed to "re-balance wealth and power" across the UK for the benefit of ordinary people, condemning bail-outs for bankers.

She added that independence for Wales would remain a long-term goal "in years, not decades".
