Plaid conference: Leanne Wood on NHS and assembly powers

The majority of people in Wales want to see their assembly take on more powers, said the leader of Plaid Cymru.

Speaking ahead of her speech to the party conference on Friday, Leanne Wood was asked about a poll that found only 3% support for independence in Wales.

She told Andrew Neil there had been a lot of coverage of Scottish issues, and now it was time for Wales to step up.

And she said the Tory press was scaring patients and demoralising staff, while both Tories and Labour should be ashamed for using the Welsh NHS as a political football.

The leader also spoke to Andrew Pierce of the Daily Mail about its coverage of Welsh issues.
