Concerns over pupils' wheelchair access at Welsh schools

The Children's Commissioner for Wales says he is deeply concerned that many secondary schools in Wales are not accessible to pupils who use wheelchairs.

Mr Towler said councils were still not following guidelines on improving access, 10 years after they were recommended.

A report says families are left unhappy, stressed and having to fight for the right for their children to be educated in a school alongside their friends and peers.
