Singer Dafydd Iwan says no need to ban anthem Delilah
Folk singer Dafydd Iwan has said he has no wish to ban Sir Tom Jones' classic and Welsh rugby anthem Delilah.
The former Plaid Cymru president wrote about the ballad and questioned its lyrics as tending to "trivialise the idea of murdering a woman".
Sir Tom said he was proud the song was used at rugby matches and said the song's subject matter simply reflected "something that happens in life".
Mr Iwan suggested finding an alternative.
But he told BBC Radio Two's Jeremy Vine there was no campaign and he was only trying to highlight that people do not always listen to the meaning of lyrics in popular songs.
