Female Genital Mutilation is child abuse says minister

A charity which campaigns against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) has been praised for its work.

Wales Minister Baroness Randerson, Home Office Minister Lynne Featherstone and International Development Minister Baroness Northover spoke to pupils at Fitzalan High School about their work with Cardiff-based charity Bawso.

It works and campaigns on issues including FGM and forced marriage.

Ms Featherstone described FGM as "child abuse against women and girls".
