Schoolgirl's call to save 'magical' Cardiff libraries
A schoolgirl has called on Cardiff council to spare "magical" libraries from council cuts so those who cannot afford books can carry on reading.
Jane Rance, 11, was one of about 400 people who gathered outside Central Library on Saturday to protest against the possible closure of seven libraries in the city.
People held placards and banners calling for them to be saved, while dozens held books in the air and read stories out loud in unison.
The council has said it needs to save £48.3m in 2015/16 and a final decision will be made on 26 February.
