Debt crisis: 'I was at the bottom of the pit with no escape'

Personal debt problems have risen by 23% in the last year, according to one charity.

StepChange says more and more people in Wales are struggling with personal finance problems.

It comes as payday loan companies have seen the amount they can charge in interest capped.

Michelle from Wrexham built up £12,000 in debt after taking out several payday loans to try to tackle her money problems.

She told BBC Wales she was left "at the bottom of the pit with no escape".
